Horizontal Spindle Balancing Machines
Universal Balancing’s range of horizontal spindle balancers are accurate and fast
in operation, even when close plane separation is required. Ideal applications include fan/impellers and other parts without own shaft/bearing journals that require s
ingle (static) and 2-plane (dynamic) balancing.
Horizontal spindle machines are a hybrid of our standard vertical balancer. The precision machine spindle is mounted horizontally on a dynamic suspension; this allows ease of loading of parts on to balance arbours and expanding mandrels. The horizontal balancing axis allows access to both planes, so correction is ergonomic and, depending on the application, can even be automated. A spindle brake is fitted as standard to hold the spindle and part when correcting imbalance – this is particularly useful when grinding or drilling on the machine.
A vital part of any balance machine is the measuring system and our UNI-44 Windows-based touchscreen solution is a first choice for customers requiring a high specification easy to use accurate system.
The UNI-25 digital instrument is a lower cost solution with the same accuracy, but less features (please see UNI-44 and UNI-25 brochures for more details).
