Balance Machines

The configuration of balance machines are either Horizontal or Vertical axis. Horizontal machines are generally dynamic which means that the unbalance can be measured in 1,2,3 or 4 planes. Typical they are used to balance rotors that require balancing in 2 planes or have there own journals such as crankshafts, rollers, impellers, propshafts etc.

Advantages of a Standard Horizontal Machine:

Almost all components can be balanced in this orientation

Static (Single plane) & Dynamic (Two plane) balancing can be achieved on all machines

Very large weights can be carried

Large diameters and lengths can be accommodated

Accessibility is always present what ever size or shape rotor is being balanced

"V" rollers and gimbal units can be fitted to the bearers which facilitate rotors with its own bearings.

No tooling influences when a belt drive is used

Advantages of Standard Vertical Machine:

Accuracy is constant due to precision spindle

Loading is very easy and clamping can be automatic using expanding tooling and
a draw bar

Drills & Milling units can be fitted, so correction can be made on machine

Cycle times are minimal

High accuracy is achieved at low speed with no time penalty

Less set up information required so operation is easier to learn

Vertical machines usually only measure in 1 plane, but it is possible to have a dynamic "2 plane" vertical, these are not very common due to the restriction in correcting unbalance in the lower plane.

Automatic Balancing Machines

We provide a complete range of automated balancing machines (semi and fully automatic) either single or multiple stations with optional integrated loading where required. All machines can be dedicated to customer's exact needs.

Our Automatic machines are simple to use, extremely accurate and delivers a very high throughput with a unbelievably compact footprint, saving vital floor space.

The Measuring system is connected to an HMI (Human Machine Interface) and a PLC to gain a high level of flexibility, customization & control. Alteration of sequence and operation is easily achieved.

Propshaft

The new BTD-UNI 44 provides true four channel operation to achieve accurate balancing of even complex components, such as multi-link propshafts. Its high capability software is also easily configured to meet users' individual application requirements.
